education-30The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) is regulated by Ofqual and accredited through the Awarding Organisation Training Qualifications UK (TQUK). This qualification is undertaken online.

Qualification Information – £375
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) qualification is an introductory teaching qualification which can be undertaken by learners who are not yet in a teaching role or who are currently teaching. This qualification replaced the Level 3 and Level 4 Awards in Preparing to Teaching in the Life Long Learning Sector (QCF), known as PTLLS.

Duration of the qualification
There is no set time frame for completion. Most learners complete the qualification within one to three months. Learners may complete with in a few weeks.

Content of the Qualification
The qualification covers are range of topics includingthe roles and responsibilities of a teacher, legislation relation to teaching, equality and diversity, inclusion, lesson planning, feedback and assessment.

Qualification Assessment Activities
The qualification is assessed through the completion of five short assignments and the delivery of a micro teach session. There are two options for delivering the micro teach, either through the use of video evidence or by having a qualified teacher known as an ‘Expert Witness’ observe the micro teach and complete the required documentation.
Learners must deliver the micro teach session to a minimum of three learners, on any topic they wish.

Entry Requirements
Learners are expected to have a minimum standard of literacy at Level 2.
