The Level 2 Award Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People (RQF) qualification is regulated by Ofqual on the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) and accredited through our Awarding Organisation, Training Qualifications UK (TQUK). This qualification is undertaken online through our easy-to-use Online Qualification System.
Qualification Information
This qualification is suitable for anyone who wishes to develop the knowledge and understanding of how to safeguard and protect children, young people, adults and practitioners in the workplace. It also covers how to respond to evidence or concerns that someone may have been abused.
Duration of the qualification
You have up to one year to complete the qualification. Most learners complete the qualification over several hours.
Content of the Qualification
The qualification covers one unit:
Unit 1: Introduction to safeguarding and protecting children or young people.
The qualification covers are range of topics including safeguarding and child protection, legislation, different forms of abuse and disclosure of abuse, as well as reporting and preventing abuse.
Qualification Assessment Activities
The qualification is assessed through the completion an assessment quiz.
