Qualification Information
This qualification provides learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding to work in advice and guidance.

Duration of the qualification
There is no set time frame for completion. Most learners complete the qualification within three to four months.

Content of the Qualification
The qualifications covers topics such as interacting with clients, legislation and procedures within an advice and guidance setting, operating within networks, managing a personal case load and evaluating and developing an advice and guidance service.

Qualification Assessment Activities
The qualification is assessed through the completion of a number of assignments, learner statements, observations, expert witness testimony and evidence gathered whilst undertaking advice and guidance activities.

Learners are expected to have a minimum standard of literacy at Level 2. Learners must volunteer or work in a setting where they are able to give and advice and guidance to individuals and evaluate the services provided in a setting.
